Life in Germany is off to a great start!
When we arrived, we were all very tired, but I resisted sleeping until an appropriate hour last night to avoid problems from jetlag. I have already gotten to know my host family, taught a short English lesson to 6th grade students, taken a public bus, learned many new German words and phrases (Ich heiße Johni und ich bin zweiundzwanzig Jahre alt.), and begun to brainstorm ideas for our collaborative project.
I spend a lot of time with Lana, my host sister, and she played a few songs for me on the piano this afternoon. As we progress, I will certainly have more stories and pictures to share.
This is my teaching schedule at A.F.G.
Lana, tickling the ivories...
Thank you for checking in- I would love to hear from you in the comments!
With love,
Mrs. L
